Barcodes can help to keep a clearer inventory of the products, especially if the product line is large and diverse. By printing labels with barcodes on it, you can scan the barcode rather than relying on someone to take physical inventory. This saves time, money and tremendously reduces the risk of human error.
Product barcode labels can be printed from various screens throughout the Admin panel. Here is the list of screens that have the barcode printing capability:
- Inventory Adjustment Receipt
- Product Catalog Manager
- Item Fulfillment/Assembly Build receipt
- Purchase Order Item Receipt
- Purchase Order Receive
- Item Fulfillment/Inventory Transfer Receipt
Pulse Commerce currently supports the following default labels formats:
- Barcode Label 1 x 2
- Barcode Label 1 x 3
- Barcode Label 1 x 3 (Format 2)
- Barcode Label Dymo 330 2 5-16 x 4
- Barcode Label Sato CX200 1 x 2
You can also create templates for your company's specific barcoding needs under Settings > Manager Label Templates.
Here you can create new barcode templates for both Products and Bins.
You can also include simple HTML to edit the margins and other specifications of the barcode. Pulse Commerce supports the following variables:
- {{SKU}}
- {{Barcode}}
- {{Price}}
- {{ProductName}}
These templates are now available when selecting the barcodes to print:
