Customers can save special dates on their accounts and Pulse Commerce makes it easy for you to mine this data to use in your marketing promotions. This is especially useful if you're looking to send out special discounts for birthdays and other special events.
The Event Reminder Add-on Module enables you to gather dates for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, etc., and use this information to promote business.
When the Event Reminder Module is enabled for your storefront, it activates a couple of links for the customer under My Account. When the customer logs in and navigates to My Account under Event Reminders, they will see:
The Edit Your Special Events Reminder allows customers to edit existing event information, and the Add A Special Event Reminder allows customers to add new reminders.
The event data can be exported by going to Data Import and Export > Export and selecting Event Reminder Export.
The .csv file provides information about the customer and occasion. You can send a promotion email to such customer by sending a reminder email and promoting relevant products. Note: currently the system does not support automatic triggers of emails. Them merchant needs to manually trigger such emails.
