To complete eBay listings, you will need to configure eBay shipping templates to add to your listings.
Create shipping templates for eBay:
- Navigate to Site Settings > Ship Methods & Rates > eBay Shipping Templates tab.
- For the field Template Name, enter a valid Template Name and click Add New Template.
- Select a shipping service for the field Shipping Service.
- Select an option for Service Type and enter a numerical value for Shipping Cost. Once done click Add New Shipping Template.
You can have Free Shipping as an offered shipping method. If so, it needs to be listed as the first Shipping Method on the list. You can specify the cost for shipping via the Ship Method, and include an additional surcharge per item if the customer purchases multiple quantities.
In order to edit the existing template select the appropriate template in the Choose Shipping Template dropdown menu. The system refreshes the template, and then you can edit the data and click Update Template.
To delete the existing template select the appropriate template in the Choose Shipping Template dropdown menu. The system refreshes the template, and then you can click the Delete Template button to delete the template.
Detailed information on Service Types:
When offering shipping services, the seller specifies the type of shipping (which determines which tags are used and affects how costs are established for shipping of the item).
The options for Shipping Type are:
- Flat
- Calculated
- Freight and FreightFlat
- CalculatedDomesticFlatInternational
- FlatDomesticCalculatedInternational
Flat Shipping Module
Flat rate shipping (flat shipping or Flat Shipping Module) is when the system specifies a fixed shipping rate that the buyer must pay, regardless of package dimensions or weight, and regardless of distance. You can offer various shipping services to the buyer (for example, USPS, Airmail Parcel Post and UPS Express Plus) and decide how much the buyer would have to pay for each service, regardless of the actual cost of such shipping.
Calculated
Calculated rate shipping (calculated shipping) is when you offer shipping services and requests that eBay calculates the shipping cost according to such things as the package's dimensions, weight, and the buyer's postal code. You can offer or require insurance, but the insurance cost is determined by the selected shipping service (and is not known until the final sale price is known for the item).
Freight
Freight shipping is the shipping of items that are heavier than can be shipped with standard flat or calculated rate service.
