Product Reviews are the reviews submitted by the customer for a given product.
Product Reviews let customers review and rate products on your storefront. It allows visitors to participate in an engaging way on your site helping to build customer loyalty and improve site content through participation. Sell more merchandise based on authentic reviews from your existing customers.
In a book authored by Forrester Research analysts Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff entitled Groundswell, the authors suggest that ratings and reviews placed front and center on your site allows you to tap into customer enthusiasm and turn customers into a powerful asset.
In order to enable this feature, navigate to the Settings > General Settings >> Display Settings Select 'Yes' for the setting ‘Display Customer Reviews on Product Details Page’ and click Update button .
When this feature is enabled, it displays a Write A Review link on item detail page.
When customer clicks the link the customer is navigated to the Product Review page where they can fill out the required information and click the Send button.
The administrator receives a notification email if someone sends a Review via the Product Review feature, and a copy of it is also saved in the Message Center.
Note that this feature is integrated with CAPTCHA technology.
Pulse Commerce allows you to edit the Review before publishing it. Refer to this KB article for more information.
Once a Review is published, it will be displayed below the product description along with the average rating (based on published reviews).
