Pulse Commerce Supports 6 different Category Display formats. Each Category Display Format differs in the way the products or information is displayed.
Category Display Format 1
This format displays subcategory, category featured products, and normal products in sequential order.
First the Category and its long description are displayed, followed by the subcategory and its short description.
Under this, the featured product and group is displayed first, followed by normal products and groups. Category featured products are separated from normal products with a bold line.
Category Display Format 2
This format is similar to Format 1. It also displays the main category with its long description followed by its subcategory and short description.
Category features products are shown first followed by normal products.
Category Display Format 3
The Amazon.com-like format displays categories and their subcategories systematically. The main category is highlighted followed by its subcategories. Each category has a border.
The category has its own search box followed by the featured products associated with main category, then by normal products.
Category Display Format 4
Display Format 4 enables the merchant to display a different header section or brand info for different category pages. This feature enables the merchant to display a customized logo and page-header for the given category whenever it is accessed. You can also set a category to open in a new window with this format.
Category Display Format 5
Format 5 is associated with guide navigation. Guided Navigation is one of the most powerful modules available on the Pulse Commerce platform.
