How can I display products on the shopping cart without BUY button so that they can not be purchased?

Pulse Commerce enables you to display the products on your storefront without allowing the customer to purchase these products.

1. Products > Product Catalog Manager.
   
   
2. Click the Edit link beside the product for which you would like to hide the BUY button.
   
   
3. For the Back Order Option, select Disallow backorder and display out-of-stock image.

As a result, the BUY button will be replaced by OUT OF STOCK and the product, though still visible on the storefront, can no longer be purchased. 

You can also make this change in bulk via Import/Export.

Note: This only works for SKUs that have no quantity on hand. If you wish to prevent customers from purchasing an SKU that has inventory, you will first need to either remove the inventory or transfer it to a warehouse that is not connected to the front-end inventory. (The Zip City virtual warehouse is usually configured like this.)
