Pulse Commerce provides multiple ways for the customer to specify whether an item is being ordered for themselves or someone else. These include:
Gift Wrap Message
You can enable the Gift Wrap option, and the customer can specify a gift message:
- Site Settings > General Settings > Order Settings > Display Gift Wrap Option.
Special Shipping Address
The customer may also specify a different shipping name and address to have an order shipped directly to the recipient.
You may also present the customer with a Special Instructions text box during checkout.
To enable the Special Instructions checkbox:
- Site Settings > General Settings > Order Settings > Display Special Instructions Text Box During Checkout.
Checkout Survey Manager
Alternatively, you use the Checkout Survey Manager to ask the customer:
- Marketing & CRM > Checkout Survey Manager.
