Most often this is done by a larger merchant who either owns their own informational site or by a corporation to create an internal shop under their domain name. If this is done, then the merchant is responsible for the DNS services, and the DNS information must be modified accordingly.
In short, the DNS A Record of the subdomain needs to point to the IP address Pulse Commerce specifies.
If you are using Pulse Commerce name servers, we will create the additional DNS A Record for you.
Important: Please note that the Primary URL for the store must match the URL that Pulse Commerce has on file for the merchant. The Primary URL is used to set the URL for Admin Panel access as well as for the URL of the SSL certificate. If you need to change your Primary URL for your store, reach out to you Account Manager to order a Change of Primary URL Service.
