A favicon (short for 'favorites icon') - also known as a website icon, page icon, or url icon - is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage.
The favicon.ico must be put in the /images/ directory of the site (and the root of the site to support older browsers).
Pulse Commerce Support will assist with copying the favicon.ico file to the root of you Pulse Commerce store:
- Upload the favicon.ico file to the /images/ directory via FTP.
- Once uploaded, create a support ticket requesting that the favicon also be copied to the site root.
A member of the Pulse Commerce support team will copy the file to the root folder.
Note: The favicon.ico file must be a *.ico formatted image. After using FTP to upload your favicon.ico file to the /images/ directory, you should load the icon using an IE browser:
https://{PrimaryURL}/images/favicon.ico
