Reward customers who purchase multiple units of the same product or multiple products from a collection with automatic quantity-based discounts.
Quantity discounts automatically reduce the unit price when customers purchase multiple quantities. You can configure discounts two ways:
- Single Product Discounts: Applied to one specific SKU
- Discount Groups: Applied across multiple different products
Discount Types

Can I combine quantity discounts with coupon codes?
Yes, quantity discounts can be combined with promotional coupon codes. The quantity discount applies first to reduce the unit price, then any coupon code discount applies to the cart total.
What happens if a customer changes their quantity after adding to cart?
The discount automatically recalculates based on the new quantity. If they reduce below the discount threshold, the discount is removed. If they increase to a higher tier, the better discount applies.
How are quantity discounts displayed on the storefront?
Quantity discount pricing tiers appear on the product detail page, showing customers the savings available at different quantity levels. The exact display depends on your storefront theme and product display format.
Can I use quantity discounts with matrix products or bundles?
Quantity discounts work with standard inventory items. For matrix products (variants), apply discounts to individual child SKUs or use discount groups to include multiple variants. Bundles calculate pricing based on their component products / bundle product pricing.
How do I remove or disable a quantity discount?
To remove a single product discount, go to Products → Product Catalog Manager → Edit → Advanced tab, delete all discount tiers, and click Update Discounts. To disable a discount group, either delete the group from Global Product Options or remove the group assignment from individual products.
