Learn how to create and update product bundles in bulk using the Product Bundle Component Import feature. Import bundle components efficiently to assign multiple products to bundles, set quantities, and manage bundle configurations across your catalog.
Critical Prerequisites: Both the bundle SKU and all component SKUs must already exist in your admin panel before importing.
- Create bundle products as Product Type = Bundle / Kit

This import only assigns components to bundles—it does not create products.

Why is my import failing with “SKU not found”?
This occurs when the bundle SKU or component SKU does not already exist in your system. The import cannot create bundle SKUs or component SKUs. Both must exist before importing.
- Bundle SKU must exist as Product Type = Bundle / Kit
- Component SKUs must exist as Inventory Item
- SKUs are case-sensitive
- No leading or trailing spaces
Can I create the bundle product using this import?
No. Bundle products must be created first manually or via Product Import.
Can I import components that don’t exist yet?
No. All component SKUs must already exist in your system.
How do I update the quantity of a component in an existing bundle?
Use Action = U (Update) with the new quantity.
What happens if I use Action = I for a component that already exists?
Action = I adds a new component to an existing bundle. If the component is already assigned to the bundle, the import will fail with an error. Use Action = U to update an existing component instead.
Can I import multiple bundles in one file?
Yes. Each row represents one component assignment.
How do I remove all components to start over?
Use Action = D for each component you want to remove.
Does this import affect bundle pricing or other settings?
No. It only manages product bundle component assignments.
