This article explains how to use the Product Warehouse Import tool to assign products to warehouse locations and update warehouse-specific inventory settings such as bin numbers, pricing, preferred stock levels, and reorder points. Product Warehouse Associations determine where inventory is stored and how each location manages stock, cost, and fulfillment.
For background on warehouse/location management, see: Warehouse and Location Management in Pulse Commerce
Use the Product Warehouse Import when you need to:
- Associate products with warehouse locations.
- Update warehouse-level details such as:
- Bin number
- Fixed Cost (when allowed)
- Regular Price and Customer Price
- Preferred Stock Level
- Reorder Point
- Preferred Location flag
- Correct or populate missing warehouse-specific product data in bulk.
This import supports Inventory, Special Order Item, and Assembly Item products only.
Identification & Matching:
- Product SKU identifies the product.
- Warehouse Location identifies the warehouse to which the product is being assigned.
- Warehouse associations update only when SKU + Warehouse Location match an existing configuration.
- If an association does not exist, the import creates it (as long as the warehouse itself exists in the system).
