All Export Types in Pulse Commerce
This article provides a comprehensive reference for all data export types available in Pulse Commerce. Each export type produces a CSV file that can be used for reporting, system integration, data validation, or bulk updates (via export → edit → import workflows).
Note: If your product catalog contains more than 5,000 items, we recommend exporting one or two categories at a time to avoid timeouts.
Inventory & Warehouse Exports
- Inventory Export – Exports current inventory quantities, cost, and warehouse allocation details for all products. Used for stock audits, syncing external systems, or validating warehouse quantities.
- Product Warehouse Export – Provides a warehouse-by-warehouse breakdown of product inventory for multi-location operations. Useful for fulfillment routing and multi-warehouse reporting.
Category & Product Content Exports
- Category Export – Exports your full category hierarchy, category settings, display configuration, and SEO metadata. Ideal for site structure review or mass category updates.
- Product Export – The most comprehensive product data export, including pricing, descriptions, categories, inventory, and attributes. Commonly used for product catalog backup, auditing, or editing followed by re-import.
- Product Bundle Component Export NEW – Exports relationships between bundle SKUs and their component SKUs. Used for inventory kits, multipacks, and bundle auditing.
- Product Description Export – Extracts product long descriptions, short descriptions, HTML content, and SEO fields. Typically used by content and SEO teams for bulk editing.
- Product Options Export – Exports option classes and option values associated with each product (e.g., size, color). Useful for matrix product audits or option consistency review.
- Product Group Export – Exports Product Group (non-matrix grouping) configuration and associations. Used for reviewing grouped products or preparing Product Group imports.
- Product Group Description Export – Provides Product Group descriptions, marketing copy, and SEO metadata. Ideal for content teams updating group-level details.
Vendor, Manufacturer & Supplier Exports
- Product Vendor Export – Exports vendor assignments for products, including vendor cost, lead time, and primary vendor designations. Used for procurement analysis or vendor cost updates.
- Vendor Export – Exports supplier contact details, settings, capabilities, and configuration. Recommended when onboarding new staff or restructuring vendor data.
- Manufacturer Export – Exports manufacturer records for all products. Useful for brand audits or compliance reporting.
Customer & Pricing Exports
- Customer Export – Exports customer account data including contact details, account status, and registration information. Frequently used for CRM analysis or customer migration.
- Customer Group Pricing Export – Exports special pricing rules assigned to Customer Groups. Used for wholesale pricing audits or bulk price restructuring.
- Favorites Export – Exports customer “Favorites” lists (similar to Wish Lists), showing which products customers have saved. Supports marketing personalization and behavior analysis.
Order, Return & Fulfillment Exports
- Sales Order Export – Exports all completed orders including customer details, items purchased, payments, and totals. Used for accounting, tax reporting, and BI systems.
- Incomplete Sales Order Export NEW – Exports abandoned orders, typically resulting from a declined credit card purchase attempt. Ideal for conversion analysis, marketing campaigns, or cart recovery initiatives. (For customer's abandoned Shopping Carts, refer to: Marketing > Abandoned Shopping Carts.)
- Customer Return Export – Exports RMA and return data including return reasons, statuses, and item condition. Used for operations, QA, and financial audits.
- Purchase Order Export – Exports PO details for vendor-supplied inventory replenishment. Supports purchasing analysis and reconciliation workflows.
Customer Engagement Exports
- Checkout Survey Export – Exports customer responses to checkout surveys. Useful for customer satisfaction, UX improvements, and marketing feedback analysis.
